Bio

Dru found his love for performing when he learned to juggle scarves and spin plates at circus camp at 9 years of age. After spending high school performing at local community theatres, trading football for dance classes, and learning to play drums, guitar, bass, and piano, he attended Emerson College in Boston, earning his BFA in Musical Theatre in 2011.

Professionally, Dru spent a year as a member of the original Las Vegas cast of Rock of Ages, where he also had the pleasure of performing with members of several Vegas shows in Broadway Bares Las Vegas IV. After a year on the strip, Dru spent 4 years on the road between touring productions of "Man of la Mancha," "Guys and Dolls," and "Jersey Boys." Favorite regional credits include "Joseph..." (Issachar/Pharoah), "Wizard of Oz" (Lion), and "Seussical" (Horton).

Prior to Covid-19 shutdown, he could be found swinging the New York company of "Jersey Boys."

As a musician, Dru spent 4 years as the frontman and songwriter for the Connecticut metal band Always Searching, where he toured, and worked with producers Jay Stanley (Creed, Sevendust), Dana Cornock (Michael Jackson, Judas Priest), and Ed Self. During their time together, the group was also featured on a plethora of college and internet radio stations, as well as on an episode of the Emerson College television program FastFowardRewind. Dru has also performed in numerous venues throughout the tri-state area as the lead vocalist for progressive rock outfit, Magari.

Dru now spends his free time writing and recording his solo music, and training in Krav Maga. In 2011 he received his Krav Maga instructor certification from Krav Maga Worldwide in Los Angeles and has since taught at Columbia University, gyms in Connecticut, Las Vegas, and NYC.
